The research focuses on the influence of emotional, cognitive, and social climate on the language choices of multilingual families, and the impact they can have on their general well-being, intergenerational relationships, and the community context. The methodological framework of reference is Grounded Theory. Collected data concern language practices, attitudes, emotions, and generational, trigenerational, and social interactive dynamics of multilingual families. [EN] The present research deals with the question of the teaching of Valencian in the Spanish-speaking areas where the LUEV (1983) is in force, which determines the possibility of exemption from the subject of Valencian. Specifically, we approach the question of the beliefs and social representations on the language and its teaching from a case study carried out in a secondary school of the city of Requena. The aim of the study is to identify and differentiate the linguistic attitudes towards the Valencian language in this sociolinguistic context and it is an opportunity to present an educational change. The article focuses on the emotional, cognitive, and social climate in which multilingual families make and influence language choices. It investigates what impact the choices can have on the general well-being of the family, regarding both the intergenerational relationship and the community context. The research suggests that the linguistic attitudes of migrant families can stimulate and implement potential well-being. It consists of the conscious management of the specific and complex dynamic activated in a multilingual family.

Este artículo presenta una revisión de parte de un estudio de investigación sobre actitudes lingüísticas: “Estudio sobre las actitudes lingüísticas en Andalucía: andaluz oriental y andaluz occidental” (Ruiz Pareja, 2015). El objetivo de este trabajo es arrojar un poco de luz sobre el contraste que existe en Sociolingüística entre las actitudes afectivas y cognitivas, que además están presentes en numerosos cuestionarios y estudios en esta disciplina.
